The Valentine's Condom

It's almost a week since my D&C and I'm still having and some light bleeding. Yes it's Valentines day and DH's birthday day today and this wasn't the sort of pink gift I had in mind. The instructions were to wait to have intercourse until the bleeding stopped, but if there was still a bit of bleeding but no pain to use a condom. I figured it wouldn't last this long so we'd just wait it out, but now I'm getting impatient. I guess if it still persists tonight that could be the plan.

I think we might have a condom laying around somewhere. Where did I put that stray condom I found in my travel case a couple of years back? Come to think of it, I'm sure it's long since expired. Who am I fooling does it really matter if it's expired?

I really only need one but you can't run off to the drugstore and purchase a single condom. I don't want to scour the seedy bars in town for a machine. However, we certainly don't need an entire box of 12! I feel like a randy teenager, but unlike when I was a teenager, I can no longer sneak one out of my parent's supply or swing by the guidance counselors office to see if the basket of goodies is available.

The irony of it all kills me. I'll just keep looking. I'm sure that latex love glove has got to be around somewhere. Maybe my bleeding will just stop in the meantime?
