A Great Gramma

My Gramma passed away on Thursday. She had been going down hill for a long while after having a stroke in 2010. She was such a caring, giving person and will be sadly missed. We were fortunate to have a visit with her one week ago today in the last hours of being in a conscious state. She held her great granddaughter on her lap and told me that she predicted the baby-to-be is a little boy. Later that day her body began to shut down and was switched over to palliative care but stayed in her own room with familiar caregivers and family beside her in her nursing home. A few days later she left us. I feel so fortunate that Anika got to know her Great-Gramma. Here they are in the summer sharing a little song.
