I'm stuck in the IVF limbo game. Most people get to just waltz under the stick and get let through to start a nicely predictable IVF cycle on some sort of a schedule. Not me. I keep playing the game, and clearing the stick, but they keep moving the bar lower and lower. I'm now frozen at the point of being bent over backwards with my head near the floor awaiting the judge's call as to whether I can continue to play the game or not. The worst part is that I'm not sure how long I need to remain like this. My back hurts! It's hard to swallow my estrogen pills upside down.

Hug hug. I hope you're able to get started and that you respond well. It's really all about taking it one step at at ime, unfortunately. We're not all fortunate enough to be able to count on each step falling into place so easily. But I do believe this will happen for you and I'm cheering you on each step of the way. xo

I do believe this will happen for you too SD and I wish that you weren't going through so much limbo. Hang in there. Thinking of you!

I've never been one for the Limbo either. I tried to play by the rules, but in the end I feel like I ended up jumping over the darn stick just to get to the other side! I sure hope you get to under the stick this time!

If not I'll be jumping on the stick and busting it in half!

I hope your IVF limbo comes to a positive end, and quickly too!

I'm cheering you on! Hoping three times is a charm.

Why won't they let you proceed through the protocol? Do they keep running tests?

Read your background; what will the estrogen do?

Sending you lots of hugs and positive vibes.

Sorry to speak in code. Many readers have followed my blog for a while. I have a dwindling egg supply in my early 30's which presents a lot of hurdles for doing IVF. The estrogen is taken in the luteal phase to try to damper down my high FSH from stimulating development too early, and hopefully give us a small handful of eggs to work with. I'm waiting for AF to show up, and then I'll have an ultrasound and blood work to see if we can proceed.

Waiting on the benches just plain sucks, hopefully the coach will put you on to get involved in the game real soon! Hang in there!

Here's the one time that I will wish AF to show up. The sooner she does the sooner you get to play. Grab your glove!

I hope this limbo stage is over soon for you, SD. Your analogy of back-breaking effort to get to where you want to go is appropriate. Come on, AF -- bring it so SD can have a crack at this head-on.
