Shopping

I've started accepting hand-me-downs from friends and doing a little bit of shopping for baby items. Who doesn't love a bargain!

This morning I stopped in at Zellers to get some toilet paper and found a nursing bra in my size (well my projected size) in the discount bin for $5.

I've also been following all the baby items posted on kijiji, Craig's List etc... and bought this little Snugli for $20. It's a colour that my DH will wear.

With the current size of my chest, it feels as if these photos are perfectly to scale!

  1. My hand-me-downs were all from friends I trusted and unfortunately they came with some clothing moths. It has been a huge pain. So, just make sure that you walk everything straight to the washing machine and put it through the washer and dryer on as hot as possible.

Otherwise, hand-me-downs are great. Have fun.

  2. Oooh yes, everything has hit the wash and been put into sealed plastic tubs sorted by age grouping. I'll probably run them through again when I take them out of storage.

  3. I followed your journey on IVF(dot)ca and have a similar late 30's journey of infertility.

Just wanted to say congrats, again, and offer some advice.

Skip the snuggli and get a decent carrier that will keep babies spine and hips in the right alignment. I would suggest a wrap, or a soft structured carrier. It is international babywearing week, if you look that up, you should be able to find a local vendor. Best purchase I ever made was my wrap, and Ergo :)

    Just saying.............
