We had our follow up with the pediatrician this morning. Good news -Anika's head circumference has grown by 1cm in the last 6 weeks and is still right on the 50%ile for her age. Her head is round and symmetrical so he suspects the skull sutures are all not yet fused even if the fontanelles are no longer open, so there is room for her brain to continue on growing. She weighed in at 18 lbs 7 oz and is 26 inches tall, again just above average. So this means no more visits with the pediatrician, and we just have to do another head circumference check at 9months with our family doctor. Yay!

Great news! She is so adorable, when did she start sitting on her own? My DS is almost 7.5 months and still needs support. Nina
ReplyDeleteShe started sitting on her own about 2 weeks ago. It's still within the normal range to need support up to 8 months or so.
