- Drinking lots of water does seen to decrease the intensity of the cramping as long as I make sure to empty my bladder frequently.
- Taking it easy and avoiding physical strain helps somewhat to reduce the frequency of the episodes.
- There also seems to be a connection with emotional stress and sleep quality and the cramping episodes.
So in an ideal world I would lie on a beach lounger while someone brought me non-alcoholic piƱa coladas all day while I finish gestating. Since that is not going to happen, I've compromised by working part days, getting other people to watch my daughter while I catch a nap, and carrying around a water bottle that I force myself to sip at throughout the day.
It's just over a week until my OB is back and I can speak to him about being off work entirely. I'll be a day shy of 36 weeks at that point, so I'm hanging in there until then.
