Walking!

Anika finally started walking. She's been taking steps on her own for the past two months, but never really took off with walking until the other day. She always preferred to hold on to something. It was puzzling to me because she isn't a cautious child, and can climb and do all kinds of things that kids don't typically do until after they begin walking.

I'm happy that she's decided to become bipedal with my growing tummy it's getting harder to carry her. Yesterday we cleaned off one of our outside deck spaces for her to use her ride-on car, walk bike, and slide which are currently in the middle of our living room. I'm looking forward to spring and summer where I don't have to worry so much about the crawling surface and what she'll be attempting to ingest off of the ground.
