Well, my pregnancy test at the lab was negative, so surgery it will be tomorrow. The Gyn's office finally confirmed that it wasn't a problem to add the hysteroscopy and D&C onto this diagnostic laparoscopy that I've had booked since October. My triple header spring cleaning surgery is at 1:45 pm. What I am going to find to do with my hungry self all morning, I'm not sure -maybe poke around on this site? I'm ready and armed at home with my basket of goodies for the recovery (books, movies, Tylenol, throat lozenges, ginger ale, bland foods to nibble, heating pad, maxi pads, and comfy yoga pants). Part of me is a scared, and the other part is looking forward to knowing what they find in there -will it be a Fred (fibroid) or an Edna (endo cyst)? Like every other step in the journey, I know I just have to be strong and get through this in order to get closer to our dream of a baby. I wish it was easier and we could just forget the condom once and be pregnant, but it's just not that way for so many of us.

Best of luck with surgery tomorrow. I hope you have a quick and healthy recovery!

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. It's honestly not that bad, just ensure that you take it easy after and have DH take good care of you.

Hope all goes well tomorrow ;) I'll second what allyb said, it's really not bad at all! When I had mine done, the owrst bit was waking up from the drugs (I had my tubes removed on the same day). I embarrassed myself a lot and the nurses told my DH I was trouble! I normally hate to sit still but I enjoyed it more than I thought. Take care of yourself, this time next week you'll be all back to normal ;)

Good luck, I'll be thinkng of you tomorrow. I had a lap, hystreoscope, D&C all in one last month, and I agree with the ladies above; it was not nearly as bad as I thought, and I was terrified. I was given a prescription of tylenol 3 and I only used one pill the next day. You have all the necessary goodies, which is great planning ;) The heating pad will be very useful. I hope it all goes well.

Good luck tomorrow, I'm sure everything will be fine. Fred or Enda will be asked to leave quietly, without making a fuss. Especially enjoy the morphine, it was by far my favorite part of the entire process (after I woke up the nurse asked my pain level I responded 4 or 5 out of 10, and then very quickly there was NO pain! I remember thinking "oh, this is nice" ;) ).

Thank you so much for all of the encouraging comments. I am not too scared of the procedures themselves or the recovery, it's the status of my baby making organs that I'm most worried about, and what that means for treatment options for us. Double fingers crossed that things look OK in there. If it's a small Fred, he might stay on board for the ride, but an Edna would have to go. I'll post an update when I can -probably Thursday.
