Beta #2

It's now 14 days since my 3 day transfer. I went in for my second beta test at the blood lab this morning. Of course with lab closures over the long weekend, it was very busy. They were also dealing with a computer issue, and I was beginning to wonder if I'd have to try another location in order to get this STAT order done on time. They did get the computer working, and I was able to get my blood drawn after about a 45 minute wait.

I went straight from there into work, and fortunately it was an inservice day so I didn't have to worry about lifting or activity restrictions -that I'll sort out tomorrow.

My husband was on phone pacing duty this afternoon for the clinic phone call. He got the call late in the afternoon just before I arrived home from work. The 2nd beta is 1167 -more than double. No need to do any more betas, and congrats we are officially pregnant. My 7 week u/s is scheduled for mid May.

WOW! It's really real. Just after I got home my family doctor called and he was choked up because the results had just come onto his desk today. He is sending a referral today for me to go back to my OB, just so that things are seamless after my release from the fertility clinic.
