My little trio of follicles are now 15, 16 and 17 mm. My RE said today that my lining is "the best he's ever seen it" -the pattern and thickness are "absolutely perfect". So... I trigger tonight and the retrieval is set for 8am Saturday morning. It's finally starting to feel real. It sounds weird, but it's a big big deal for me just to get to retrieval.

There have been so many hurdles just to get to this point. A little over a year ago I first met my RE. 4 IUI's, 2 surgeries, one horrific biopsy turned lining scrape, and 2 canceled attempts at IVF later it looks like I am finally going to get these eggs out into the lab.

It reminds me of this quote by Robert H Schuller:

"Today's accomplishments were yesterday's impossibilities."

Now for the next big leap. We're hoping for 3 healthy eggs to meet up with 3 nice looking sperms and make us an embryo or two.

    I'm planning to bring along my I-pod tomorrow to listen to while I'm having the IV intralipid infusion post ER. I'm going to put a little Marvin Gaye on the play list just for you Julie.
