Run, don't walk, with that injection!

I had another clinic appointment this morning. We are still working with just 3 follicles. They are growing in response to the stims (13, 14, 15 mm today). My lining was "perfect" (anyone who's followed my blog knows how much of a relief that is). The RE asked to see me again tomorrow and figured he'd be asking me to trigger for a Saturday morning ER. My instructions were to stay on the same dose of stims and add in the Cetrotide tonight, and they'd call later with my blood work results. I left feeling fairly content with where things were at.

Enroute home I stopped at a coffee shop to meet a friend, she's due anytime now with her IVF baby, so gets all this craziness. We had a good catch up chat over a couple of un-coffee's. While I was there the nurse called me on my cell and asked me if I had my Cetrotide with me. I told her I did. She then said they needed me to take it right then and there. What? I asked if it could wait half an hour. She said no, it could not. My LH levels were just starting to rise so I needed to get that shot in ASAP to hold back an early ovulation. Ok then! So off I ran (not walked) to the coffee shop washroom to quickly read the directions on the Cetrotide kit, mix, and inject. No time to waste here. What interesting places I've been shooting up this cycle! Whew, that was weird!

Hang on little eggs! We're coming for you.

Same thing happened to me today but I wasn't at a coffee shop! I got told by my a nurse to take my orgalutron right away, asap. Now, I usually wait for DH to do it around 8pm but I knew it couldn't wait and he wasn't home as it was only 4:30 so I quickly read the instructions on the box and gave myself my first needle in the gut. It wasn't too bad and I felt a sense of accomplishment that I gave myself a needle. So that makes two things we have in common. We both drove almost 4 hours total today and did an emergency injection. Aren't we awesome! Ha

I am imagining the look on someone's face had they walked in and saw you shooting up. :) You are a few days ahead of me in the "protocol". Please let us know what the ER experience is like. I have never done it.

I had the same thought as Kat... just "imagine" the horror on someones face as they saw you "shooting up"!!!!! ROFL :) Just proves that we ARE insane that we wouldn't even bat an eyelash for shooting up in a cafe (or anywhere).... lol All things are "lining" up quite nicely for you -- yay!

Jeesh!! Thank goodness it wasn't in like a 7-11 bathroom as don't they have like "blue lights" installed in them to prevent the junkies from shooting up in their bathrooms? LOL! And great news on your lining...take care and good luck!
