Well, I’ve officially started working on my beard. I picked up my prescription for DHEA, and popped my first pill. I tried hard not to get too caught up with reading about all the possible side effects. Acne, well that’s no big deal, but I’m not too sure about the deep voice and male hair patterns though. With winter coming, at least it’s a good season to have a little extra warmth if there was one. Hubs has offered to keep a look out for whiskers and lovingly pluck them as needed. Oh the lengths we go to sometimes!
I also now I realize my mistake -I’ve been praying to the wrong fertility god all along. I always imagined a beautiful pear shaped woman with long flowing hair. Nope, the one I need to be praying to looks more like Yoda:
Oh, please wise-old-bearded-one, will you bring me a baby where others have failed? I will make a really cute bearded pregnant lady!

LOL! Good luck with the DHEA! I was on it for 5 months and never had facial hair growth. I did get a few pimples every now and then though. Other than that, I didn't get any of the other potential side effects.

LOL. I always think that with beards, body odor, deep voice and zits, it's a good thing we're doing ART - cuz there's no way we'll get pregnant from our DH's! Best wishes for a happy ending! ps: I PM'd you back, let me know if you got it.

I thought this blog was going to be about a 'beard', as in a person who was helping you to cover something up. I thought it was going to be a story about hiding IVF from your co-workers - not about growing facial hair!! Love it!

LOL! Nope, it's all about hair today. Ha Ha! DH is now on whisker watch. Found one small one tonight and plucked it! Can't blame the DHEA for that one, it was already there.
