But wait, some of us have been shortchanged with less playing pieces, having to wait a really long time to take our turns, needing a team of assistance just to roll the dice, or paying a horrific amount of money for the chance to start. A few have made it part way around the board only to land on the “back to the beginning” square while others can’t get past go no matter how many spins we take.
Sometimes were are heavily medicated while playing making us real sorry sports when we lose. We jump up and down and stop our feet when it doesn’t work out again and again. Hummmph! I don’t like this board game. There is nothing fair about it. Each time is like a roll of the dice -the kind that is trapped in pop-a-matic bubble so you can’t even accidentally bump it to try to get it to land on a more favorable number. It also seems the rules are constantly being changed and the odds are stacked against us to roll a winning series of plays. Wait a minute, the board game just suddenly lost a bunch of ladders and gained more snakes. Grrrr....
We hang in there hoping to stumble upon this random streak of luck eventually, while our fertile friends have long since moved on to more sophisticated games, or prefer to play board games now with their own children. I'm going to invent a new game with better chances of winning, or at least finishing. Anyone want to play with me?

I think I "went to jail" and can't get out.

Lol. I don't like this game. I'm the one stuck on "go" and can't seem to move.
You find a new game that increases our chance of success and I'm there!!

Ha Ha...I'm the one that got partway there and had to start over! Hey at least we're all in this together...love this board!

This is great! I'm in  I totally felt how you said our friends have gone on to play with their children. Virtually ALL of my friends are FINISHED their families!! The youngest of them all will be 2 in January. Plus my brother is getting married Oct 16, and Lord knows they won't have any trouble concieving. :giggle: Can you say "bitter bus"? lol

Your blog is fantastic Silver Dollar :giggle: Definitely a great creativity outlet for you. I hope you are dealt a winning hand this cycle, that each roll of the dice this trip around the board results in picking up a card from the pile that has a good surpise.

I'm there with you SD. If only this game was a little more like monopoly and every time I got sent back to go, I'd get $200. That would at least help pay for my next "roll" of the IF dice!

Great analogy! I feel the same way.
