E-mail to my RE

My RE asked me to e-mail him with the start of my next period so he could determine if it was necessary or not to go on birth control pills for the cycle prior to my surgery. Knowing that he is currently away on vacation, as I began drafting my e-mail, it made me chuckle about how I was going to word such a thing. Of course in the real letter I kept it very to the point. BUT this is what my brain was thinking. LOL :P

Dear Dr. H,

Happy New Year!

I am sure this is all you have been thinking about while on vacation :beach: , so just in case you were beginning to worry, I am e-mailing to let you know that my January period has arrived right on schedule. Everything should work out well cycle timing wise for the Feb 8th surgery date without having to use birth control pills.

Oh, and when you have time, I wonder if you'd mind sending me an outline of my protocol with meds dosages so I can read up about it online and obsess about it for the next 6 weeks. ;)

I hope you are having a well deserved break (from ME). I am looking forward to seeing each other again very soon.

    :o This reminds me of his email reply after I had emailed him (at his request) to say that we had arrived safely home after our IVF. 'Dear Yvonne, thank you for telling me you arrived home safely. Please will you tell me when you get your next period. Regards, Dr.__. In any other circumstance it would have sounded odd for a man to be so interested in that!I'm now used to the fact that multiple people need to know as soon as my period starts. :o

    Glad you enjoyed it. I don't think my RE appreciates my sense of humour like you guys do. He's a busy guy and doesn't have time to read lengthy embellishments. He'll continue to get the bland versions of my thoughts, but you guys on the other hand...

    Update... I did get a call back from the clinic this afternoon. They confirmed I do NOT need BCP's for the surgery. Hooray! Also, I got an e-mail response from my RE that he would forward my protocol after he got through the mayhem of returning back to the clinic.
